But not only: the historical face of The Game Awards has announced that for the occasion, the team of The Coalition will show in a world preview the Campaign Mode of the new chapter of the Gears of War series.

Developer The Coalition, along with Xbox Game Studios, has announced that the title Gears 5 has gone gold with the final code ready to be pressed to disks and shipped out ready for release next month.

Gears 5 is ready for the world, and it will be on display at Gamescom on August 19, where its Horde and Campaign modes will be unveiled.

Rod Fergusson, Studio Head at The Coalition, shared some words about this huge milestone in the game's development. The well-known Rod Fergusson will also be present at the expected event, representing the software house now working on Gears 5. Not only is it the biggest Gears ever, but it's also the most technically refined, with 4K HDR gameplay at 60 frames per second on Xbox One X, cross-play across all modes on Xbox and Windows 10 and Steam, and updated accessibility features such as Adaptive Controller support. The Campaign story trailer world premiere will follow immediately afterwards, at 8 p.m. CEST (2 p.m. EST).

In lue of The Coalition's excitement in reaching Gold status, the team has published the full 70 plus achievement list on the Xbox News website. Players can add to their Gamerscore across 71 achievements spanning Campaign, Escape, Versus, Horde, and Map Builder.
