The first trailer for Greta Gerwig's "Little Women" is here with plenty of feminist content from its all-star cast.

"I'm working on a novel", Ronan says as Jo in the opening seconds of the trailer.

'Little Women' opens in Canadian theatres on December 25. The film also stars Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep in significant parts. Her editor responds: "Make it short and spicy".

As old-fashioned a tale as Little Women is, there's something wonderfully timeless about the four strong-willed sisters who only have each other at the height of wartorn America. The pair notably starred in the critically-acclaimed 2017 film Lady Bird, which was also directed by Greta.
