Nora Quoirin: Body found in search for missing Brit teen in Malaysia

Cops used a helicopter and sniffer dogs in an expanded search for the 15-year-old London girl who disappeared from her bedroom at a nature resort 10 days ago.

A police officer told the Mirror: "We think we have found a body, but we need to confirm it is her".

Officials are in the process of determining whether the body is Nora's.

"However it sadly seems likely", The Lucie Blackman Trust (LBT) said in a statement on Tuesday. "We are appealing to anyone, anyone who has any information to find Nora".

Authorities haven't confirmed the identity but say that the body is white and female.

In a statement, the Quoirin family said their hearts were breaking.

Authorities have been treating Nora's disappearance as a missing persons case, but her family have said they believe she may have been abducted.

"All at The Lucie Blackman Trust are thinking of the family and continue to support them as they come to terms with this news".

The teenager who has some learning disabilities had arrived with her family in Malaysia on Aug 3 for a two-week vacation.

He said the body was found at 1.57 pm.

Nora was missing from her room when her father, Sebastien, went to check on her the following morning, Sunday, August 4.

The discovery was made by a member of the public on the tenth day of an intensive search of the jungle surrounding the eco-resort where she was on holiday.

Nora's family also revealed more about her condition, holoprosencephaly, as search crews played recorded messages from her mother, Meabh, through the forest in an attempt to reach the youngster.
