Taylor Swift responds to those 'Drunk Taylor' memes

Swift was celebrating the instantly-iconic video's ten nominations at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards alongside her co-stars in the video including Laverne Cox, Hannah Hart, Akeria Chanel Davenport, HAIM, Hayley Kiyoko, Justin Mikita and Chester Lockhart, as detailed by Just Jared.

A few years ago, Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss were seriously tight-knit, but despite having maintained that they're still BFFs, the two definitely don't seem as inseparable as they once were.

On Sunday, the singer used her Teen Choice Icon Award speech to urge fans to stand up for gender equality, but the night before she simply let loose.

Internet's mood is rightly set, when their favourite singer Taylor Swift was captured lip-syncing her newly released, You Need to Calm Down most in the most savage manner. Soon Drunk Taylor amusing memes surfaced online, and Taylor seems Ok with it. According to the singer herself, "We had so much fun that "Drunk Taylor" is trending on Twitter".

She can also be heard declaring how she "f***en love [s] Cardi B", in another video. And like we said, she loved the memes too. In her new video, the star wears a pink long-sleeve cut-out mini-dress and pretends to drink out of the glass while singing the song, "but you're takin' shots at me like it's Patron".

Last weekend in Los Angeles, the superstar "threw a party to celebrate with the people who made the Me!" Taylor Swift took that stress from my parents, my world, and I have never seen them cry/laugh the way they are right now.

If Taylor performs at the VMAs, it'll be her first televised performance following the release of her album, Lover, released on the 23rd of August, this year.
