Fear not, Elizabeth Warren is electable

If Iowa is not a must-win, what about New Hampshire?

In his remarks, Sanders referred to President Donald Trump as "the most unsafe president in the history of our country" and pledged to defeat him in 2020-though, Sanders said, that's just part of the campaign's goal.

While he's never admitted it publicly, President Trump is privately concerned that 2020 hopefuls Sens. Bernie Sanders, and Sen.

That changes Saturday when the 2020 field descends on Manchester for the state Democratic Party's convention as the campaign enters a more intense phase, with several also-ran candidates needing moments that would elevate them.

Then, she transferred $10.4 million left over from the Senate run to her presidential campaign-records show roughly $6 million of that total came from donors who gave $1,000 or more. She voted for Sanders in the 2016 primary but has not endorsed a candidate so far. Sanders is not like California Sen.

A trio of Democratic presidential candidates urged voters in New Hampshire on Saturday to not play it safe in the 2020 election, leveling an implicit critique of front-runner Joe Biden.

Just outside the main arena, I met Kathleen Eames, a local Democratic leader. In the last few weeks you've confused New Hampshire for Vermont, said Bobby Kennedy and MLK were assassinated in the late '70s, assured us, 'I'm not going nuts.' Follow up question: Are you going nuts?' "We have enough people that can do this job". That made New Hampshire the first big test.

Ten candidates will take the stage on Thursday for the third round of the Democratic primary debates, hosted by George Stephanopoulos on ABC News and Univision. And since Carter, no non-incumbent Democrat who has won the New Hampshire primary once has been able to capture a repeat victory.

Mr Sanford, who would be the third Republican to mount a primary bid against Donald Trump, said he had made a decision to run because of the "astounding" debt and deficits piled up during his presidency.

Warren was on top again when respondents were asked to list all of the candidates they're thinking about supporting, slightly ahead of Sanders and Biden.

Biden has secured the backing of establishment figures like former Gov. John Lynch.

In other states, Biden still led.

"I make every day count", Warren said about her campaigning style.

"The president has called himself the king of debt, has a familiarity and comfort level with debt that I think ultimately is leading us in the wrong direction". She profited from not sharing the stage with Biden in the first two debate rounds, insulating her from the fractiousness that was directed initially toward the front-runner but eventually engulfed almost everyone in the vicinity. I met her as she grabbed popcorn from the concession stands. "She's got to talk to us, she's got to meet with people, she's got to let people see her face to face". The only early voting state in which he holds a sizable lead, South Carolina, finds him at 43% over Sanders' 18% and Warren's 14%, a reflection of his strong support among African-Americans.

Yahoo News pressed Sanders on whether he was implying that he "paved the way" for Warren's candidacy.

Since 1972, when Iowa's early caucuses first became a testing ground for candidates, only two Democratic nominees have lost both those caucuses and the New Hampshire primary. But we can't choose a candidate we don't believe in because we're scared.

South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg has also shown a focus on campaigning in the state more similar to Warren than that of Biden, Harris and Sanders. His campaign expected to follow with a second victory in New Hampshire, only to be caught by surprise by a surging Gary Hart, a USA senator from Colorado.

"We're not going to win by just trying to be safe", Castro said.
