Trump says accidents happen in diplomat wife accident

The parents of a teenage motorcyclist killed in a crash have said they are considering civil action against a USA diplomat's wife suspected of driving the other vehicle. Sacoolas was allegedly behind the wheel in the crash which killed the Dunn, 19.

Meanwhile, the family's lawyer and spokesman Radd Seiger said Mr Raab had told them that prime minister Boris Johnson was intending to speak with USA president Donald Trump.

Trump on Wednesday called what happened "a awful accident" and said his administration would seek to speak with the driver "and see what we can come up with".

"After addressing reporters on the case at the White House, a photograph has since emerged which showed a note held by Mr Trump that reads: "(If raised) Note, as Secretary Pompeo told Foreign Secretary Raab, that the spouse of the U.S. government employee will not return to the United Kingdom".

Mr Raab met Harry's parents, Charlotte Charles and Tim Dunn, on Wednesday afternoon after having talks with US Ambassador Woody Johnson on Tuesday. "We're going to speak to her and see what we can come up with so there can be some healing".

"Meet us. Let's have a chat".

"We are out of our depth really, I feel like I'm on autopilot", he added.

And while she is claiming diplomatic immunity under the Vienna Convention, her name does not appear as an official diplomat, the UK Sun reported.

Prof Craig Barker, dean of the School of Law and Social Sciences at London South Bank University, said the couple "could pursue action in the US".

The teenager's parents described the meeting with Mr Raab as a "publicity stunt".

'They've misplaced their son and the justice route of will not be being allowed to properly go its route.

Chief constable Adderley said: "I have looked at the timeline and the files surrounding this case and I'm more than content that Northamptonshire Police has done everything it could have done lawfully to move at speed and complete our enquiries".

"We are expediting that file, so that file of evidence will be with the Crown Prosecution Service within the next few days", he said.

'What kind of human being would do that?' Mr Seiger mentioned of Mrs Sacoolas's return to the US.

He said: 'The woman was driving on the wrong side of the road, and that can happen.

Ms Sacoolas, who had only been in the United Kingdom for three weeks at the time of the crash, is believed to have been driving on the wrong side of the road.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson took the issue up with Donald Trump.

"You know, those are the opposite roads, that happens". I won't say it ever occurred to me, nevertheless it did.

"The woman was driving on the wrong side of the road", Trump said.

Speaking in Northampton on Thursday, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said Mr Trump's comments were "crass and insensitive".

Mr Seiger said they were engaging lawyers to take a civil case against Mrs Sacoolas in America.

The automobile was thought to have been driving on the flawed aspect of the street after leaving RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire - a navy base utilized by the US Air Drive.

After Tuesday's meeting, a Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "The Foreign Secretary met the US Ambassador today and urged the US to reconsider its position and do the right thing by Harry Dunn's family".
