Dion Waiters reportedly overdosed on 'gummies,' had seizure on team plane

"If not, I'm playing", James told ESPN as he knocked on the wooden façade of his locker after the Lakers' 95-80 win over the Miami Heat on Friday night.

"Waiters overdosed on "gummies" sources say, and was passed out when plane landed", Slater tweeted.

It was not clear whether the reference was to cannabis, which is widely available in Denver, where the Heat began their three-game trip Tuesday with a loss to the Denver Nuggets.

A deep postseason run could be on the horizon for the Los Angeles Lakers, but LeBron James isn't interested in missing any games beforehand due to load management.

He was suspended for the Heat's season opener due to "conduct detrimental to the team" after "a number of acceptable incidents", which reportedly stemmed from a disagreement between him and coach Erik Spoelstra.

The Heat declined to comment.

James also led the league in minutes played per game during his last two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2016-2018). Think of it like this: If all the current National Basketball Association rosters were dismantled and each team was to draft from a pool of players in today's National Basketball Association, but for only this season, what would the top ten picks be?

Waiters flew back to Miami with the team after the game. He has been on the active list for only two of the Heat's nine games thus far but has yet to dress and sit on the bench for a game.

Waiters initially took to social media to question the team in the wake of his suspension, but has not offered such posts recently, other than an Instagram post that read, "Watch how it call come together". In the past, he has never been out for more than 13 games in a single season. "Which is, I don't really believe in pressure much, but I believe in myself and I know what I'm capable of".
