Suarez's global team-mate Lodeiro believes star wants to move to MLS

Suarez's worldwide teammate Nicolas Lodeiro has told ESPN that he wants a move to MLS. "He is always asking me about the U.S. league".

Suarez, Lodeiro claims, has expressed his desire to play in MLS after achieving his dream of playing for Spanish giants FC Barcelona where he is a mainstay. "He wants to come to the MLS", Lodeiro revealed. The Uruguayan is turning 33 next year and sooner or later, the La Liga giants will have to look out for a world-class replacement for Suarez, who has been vast for the Catalan giants.

Suarez has been linked with MLS for a while, with David Beckham's Inter Miami franchise the favourites to land the Barça No.9.

Seattle Sounders attacker Nico Lodeiro is a good friend of Suarez after playing alongside the Barca forward for Uruguay over the years. Suarez, 32, has scored 137 goals in 172 appearances in the League since joining Barcelona from Liverpool in 2014.

"He told me he might come in seven years, " Lagerwey commented jokingly. That was his quote, so maybe that's when his contract runs out.
