Vanessa Hudgens Finds a Little Magic in ‘The Knight Before Christmas’

The streaming service officially announced it would be producing the new Crimbo film, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Whitehouse, back in October, and teased that it would be "a modern day romance with a medieval twist".

The movie is called The Knight Before Christmas and stars Vanessa Hudgens as Brooke, a science teacher from OH who unexpectedly befriends a medieval knight named Sir Cole (played by Josh Whitehouse) after accidentally hitting him with her auto. Brooke helps Sir Cole navigate the modern world and helps him discover how to fulfill his mysterious one true quest - the only act that will return him home.

The Knight Before Christmas lands November 21 on Netflix, while Hudgens' Princess Switch sequel is expected to be released in 2020. "But as he and Brooke expand nearer, Sir Cole commences to wonder just how considerably he needs to return to his aged lifestyle".

The trailer opens with Vanessa walking through her school grounds, as she says: "We all dream of finding our Knight in shining armour and living happily ever after".

The film was written by Cara Russell. Starring Vanessa Hudgens as the teacher, Josh Whitehouse as the knight, and a cast including Emmanuelle Chriqui, Isabelle Franca, Ella Kenion, Harry Jarvis, and Jean-Michel Le Gal. This feel-good holiday film is called The Knight Before Christmas, which follows Hudgens as she falls in love with (you guessed it!) a time-traveling medieval knight.
