Staff and fire crews rushed to the scene early Tuesday at Woburn Safari Park about 50 miles north of London, but the monkeys could not be saved because the enclosure they lived in collapsed because of the blaze. It took about two hours to control the fire. Early indications are that other animals were not injured. An investigation is under way into the cause of the fire and the park will remain open.
